Quality

Position: Quality Data Analyst

I'm a Quality Data Analyst based at Teva in Eastbourne.

Basically that means I am responsible for writing the product quality reviews for each product.

This involves checking the process to make sure all Teva licensed products have been produced, tested and that the licensing details were in accordance with good manufacturing practice (GMP) guidelines at the time of release.

I analyse the data for any adverse trends that may appear to ensure that the product continues to comply with the licensed specifications. Each product follows a strict timetable and must be reviewed on a yearly basis.

I check around 280 of our own products and there is another 160 third party products on top of that, but generally I have about six on the go at any one time.

I've been working here for just over a year now and I love it. The job appealed to me because I'm quite a curious person and in this role I have to uncover important pieces of information from people all over the company within all the Teva sites and I also communicate with all our third party suppliers.

A typical day involves lots of communication, which is great at Teva because there's a real family atmosphere here. In fact chasing up information is like phoning your best friend, which makes life a lot easier because if people think they know you well, they tend to be more co-operative.

Once I've finished writing my quality reviews, they're handed to my boss, where they start another journey of quality checks.

I like Teva because the company doesn't hold you back. Before taking on this role I worked in laboratories where, if you were good at your job, they kept you in that position.

It's different at Teva, for example the company is helping me to start university this year at Greenwich which I'm really excited about. I'm taking a two-year pharmaceutical sciences degree which will help me progress my career within the organisation.

Everyone you meet here is fair, and they're all prepared to listen and help where they can.
