Our business
What do we do?
We supply medicines to pharmacies and hospitals. That covers a wide range of products, from painkillers to antibiotics,
and from cholesterol reducers to lifesaving injectable medicines to fight cancer.
Our specialities are generic medicines, which are usually medicines whose patents have expired; and respiratory medicines,
especially inhalers to relieve the symptoms of asthma.
We estimate that on average, every second, of every day, over 200 tablets or capsules supplied by us are taken by
patients all around the UK. In fact, we like to think of ourselves as the nation's medicine cabinet!

How do we do it?
We structure our business to focus and serve the UK market place. For us that means 3 business units: Generics, Primary Care
and Hospitals.
The Generics part of our business focuses on providing the widest portfolio of generic medicines to our wholesale
customers who in turn supply to pharmacies. We are supported by multiple international production and distribution facilities,
meaning Teva represents a reliable and robust supply chain for the UK Pharmaceuticals sector.
The Primary Care business works with the NHS, GPs and Dispensing Doctors. The Primary Care business specialises in the
development of proprietary medicines and brand equivalent medicines to the NHS. It also offers a comprehensive range of
devices and molecules within its respiratory portfolio.
Our Hospitals business focuses on the provision of oncology injectable medicines, infection control and solid dose
pharmaceuticals delivered in secondary care.
We are also dedicated to providing additional offerings that will enhance patient care, safety and treatment.
All our business units aim to work closely with our customers to understand how we can best support healthcare
professionals in their professional practice.
